Read Across America is a nationwide celebration that encourages children and adults to celebrate the joy and importance of reading. While it’s recognized across the country, we love putting our own spin on it by celebrating Read Across Newport — highlighting how our students and families read in their homes, neighborhoods, and throughout our community. Reading together builds vocabulary, imagination, background knowledge, and a lifelong love of learning. Check out our spirt days for the week of March 2nd.

Fliers about the t-ball league organized by the city of Newport went home Monday with all kindergarten through second grade students. This is open to all current K-2 students and not based on age as the flier says. After distribution this error was noticed. All current K - 2 students are welcome to sign up! Forms can be returned to school and we will turn these in to the city or you can drop it off at the city building on the second floor.
